
The July edition of the monthly sports walk, Littoral En Forme, took place on Saturday, July 25, attracting participants from across the Littoral Region. This month’s event was hosted by the Douala III Council, which seized the opportunity to unveil its newly developed recreational complex, Gamesarena237, located at Nkolbong in the Douala III municipality.

The modern facility, now open to the public, served as the finishing point of the sports walk after participants trekked from Total Nkolbong to Japoma and back. Upon arrival, they discovered a wide range of recreational amenities, including children’s playgrounds, a volleyball court, a football pitch, a swimming pool, tennis courts and several other leisure facilities. The event offered residents an opportunity to explore the new infrastructure designed to promote sports, recreation and healthy living.Speaking on the occasion, the Mayor of the Douala III Council, Valentine Epoupa Bossamba, said the sports walk was an ideal platform to showcase the council’s investment in recreational infrastructure. He noted that Gamesarena237 was created to provide residents of Douala III and neighbouring communities with a modern space for sports, leisure and family activities.Representing the Governor of the Littoral Region, madam Zenabou Mali Hamadou Bakary commended the initiative, describing Littoral En Forme as more than just a sports walk. According to her, the event also strengthens social cohesion by enabling the population to interact with administrative authorities in a relaxed atmosphere. She thanked the Douala III Council for establishing Gamesarena237 and encouraged residents to make responsible use of the facility for the benefit of the entire community.
