Though a young organization, founded just recently in July 2025, AREDOCAM aspires to become the definitive technical and scientific arbiter for personal injury compensation across the entire CIMA (Inter-African Conference of Insurance Markets) zone.AREDOCAM’s diagnosis of the current system is unequivocal: the lack of standardized metrics creates deep insecurity for victims and industry stakeholders alike, including insurers, medical experts, and judges. This fragmentation of assessment methods directly undermines the fairness of payouts.To bridge this gap, AREDOCAM positions itself as a hub for transdisciplinary collaboration. By uniting forensic physicians, court-appointed experts, legal professionals, and insurers, the association aims to build a synergy between medical science and legal standards.

The ultimate goal is to transform what is currently an empirical, often arbitrary practice into a rigorous, evidence-based discipline.To professionalize the entire compensation value chain, AREDOCAM has structured its roadmap around two critical pillars:Scientific Research & Documentation: Cameroon currently suffers from a severe lack of specialized reference literature addressing the intersection of law and medicine in injury compensation. AREDOCAM intends to produce comprehensive guides and studies to serve as a reliable foundation for future court decisions and out-of-court settlement agreements.Capacity Building & Accreditation: The association will focus heavily on training and accrediting sector professionals.
