
In recognition of his lifelong dedication to social justice and humanitarian action, Alphonse Ayissi Abena, the Executive President of the Cameroonian Consumers Foundation (FOCACO), was presented with a prestigious international award on Monday, May 18, 2026.The ceremony was attended by a distinguished delegation, including:Ferdinand Ndem Vice-President of FOCACO. Ferdinand Ndem, Vice-President of FOCACO, delivered a powerful portrait of the laureate, describing him as a “fearless media personality, a fierce consumer advocate, and a voice for ordinary citizens.””This distinction is not simply a reward; it is the recognition of truth on the ground,” Ndem stated. “Alphonse Ayissi Abena’s courage in the face of systemic injustices and his pure humanism bring honor to African civil society.
