
The Cameroon Palm Oil Company production giant(Socapalm) has officially announced its Annual General Meeting (AGM), scheduled for Friday, May 29, 2026, at the Best Western Hotel in Douala. This ordinary session is a key milestone for shareholders and a significant indicator of the current health of Cameroon’s agribusiness sector.
Meanwhile, the primary focus of the meeting will be the evaluation of the company’s performance over the past year. Key items on the agenda include: Presentation of the Board of Directors’ management reports and summary financial statements for the 2025 fiscal year, prepared in IFRS format. Review of consolidated accounts to provide a comprehensive view of the group’s financial standing. Presentation of the joint auditors’ reports, including a review of regulated agreements as per Article 438 of the OHADA Uniform Act. The Chairman of the Board will present a special report, followed by the formal discharge of Directors and Joint Auditors for their management during the period.Beyond standard financial reporting, the meeting follows a period of major structural changes. The transfer of the Eseka plantation to Opalm, formalized on February 18, 2026, is expected to be a central topic of discussion.

This transition, conducted under state supervision, was further solidified on April 8 in Lengué, Moungo. During that event, the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development (MINADER)laid the foundation stone for the new Lengué oil mill, signaling the operational start of Opalm’s specifications. For Socapalm shareholders, this represents a strategic pivot in the company’s operational footprint.Also, Socapalm remains a titan of the Central African agribusiness landscape, boasting a robust financial structure to support its operations.
