Douala City Mayor Visits Ntumfor Barrister Nico Halle’s Awards and Recognition Gallery

The gallery is made up of 204 awards and recognitions obtained from both home and abroad.

The Mayor of Douala City Council, Dr. Roger Mbassa Ndine, visited the awards and recognition gallery of Ntumfor Barrister Nico Halle on Tuesday, March 31.The gallery houses 204 awards and recognitions presented to the renowned Cameroonian lawyer, both in Cameroon and abroad. During the visit, the Douala city mayor congratulated the barrister for the work he is doing to promote Cameroon’s development and make a wider impact beyond the country. He commended Ntumfor Barrister Nico Halle for establishing the gallery as a legacy for posterity, while ensuring that his positive influence is felt wherever he goes. Dr. Mbassa Ndine also stated that the fight against corruption is a duty for everyone, acknowledging the barrister’s contributions in that area.In his remarks, Ntumfor Barrister Nico Halle said he decided to build the gallery so that present and future generations can understand the breadth and depth of the recognition he has received for his work across various fields. These include the promotion of peace, the fight against corruption, and advocacy for freedom of speech.

He noted that he is motivated by the fact that he is the only person worldwide to have received such a large number of awards and recognitions. Ntumfor Barrister Nico Halle also revealed that he rejected 13 of the awards, which he described as doubtful. The barrister called for stronger national action to promote peace, justice, and good governance, urging citizens and leaders to intensify efforts against corruption and social hardship. He encouraged Dr. Mbassa Ndine to continue developing Douala and ensuring that the city remains peaceful. He also reminded the mayor that road and transport challenges remain a major concern and called for solutions to be accelerated.He urged the city mayor to keep pushing forward despite the challenges. The visit also offered Ntumfor Barrister Nico Halle the chance to explain the awards and their significance.
