Search Intensifies for Missing Socapalm Employee in Edea

SOCAPALM General Management has issued an urgent appeal for information following the disappearance of Mr. Emmanuel Houlsoro, a tractor driver at the Edea plantation. Mr. Houlsoro was reported missing on Sunday, February 15, 2026, after failing to return from a routine assignment.Meanwhile,Mr. Houlsoro was last seen during a bunch collection mission in Block 11D (Division 3). Concerns were raised when he did not return to the factory at the end of his shift.

A subsequent search of the grounds led to a troubling discovery: His tractor was discovered abandoned in Block 82F, Plot 2.Technical logs indicate the equipment was shut down at 7:15 p.m. The driver was not at the scene, and his current whereabouts remain unknown.Socapalm has activated an immediate emergency response. The company is currently working in close coordination with the Okoth Gendarmerie Brigade and local judicial authorities.Ongoing efforts include: Mobilization of plantation management, security departments, and field teams. Ongoing review of operational data to narrow the search radius. Official notification of all relevant administrative bodies.However,in a statement to the workforce, Socapalm’s General Management emphasized that the safety of their staff is their “constant priority.” The company has urged all employees to remain calm and vigilant during this difficult time. “We understand the deep concern this situation has caused.
