The Bambui community marked a significant milestone with a generous gesture from Dr. Erisemary Dinga, a renowned philanthropist, CEO of Emmiempire, and local pastor. In celebration of her birthday, Dr. Dinga donated high-end vocational equipment aimed at empowering young women and girls in Bambui. The event, themed “Unity and Development,” featured the donation of sewing machines and hairdressing equipment designated for a new Empowerment Center currently under construction in the community.Dr. Dinga, who carries the traditional title of Mueh Fumbwen (a female leader and guide), used the occasion to encourage local women to embrace vocational training as a path to independence.

“The Bambui woman is ambitious and values education,” stated Dr. Dinga. “However, there is a significant gap in vocational training. When women unite to build, nothing can hinder our progress. My motivation is to establish this Empowerment Center for our girls after all these years.”Reflecting on the importance of collective effort, she emphasized the strength found in solidarity: “Unity is power; unity is progress. I have witnessed how women have come together to contribute significantly to the community center’s development. A united village experiences accelerated growth.”Sharing her personal connection to the village, Dr. Dinga noted that her spiritual journey began in the Bambui Palace. While acknowledging past challenges and periods of distance, she reiterated her commitment to the community’s progress.”I cherish my culture and will always advocate for it. My journey began in the Bambui Palace,” she said. “I now understand why my path led me back to the village. I aspire to see my beautiful city transformed.”The donation received widespread acclaim from community leaders. Mr. Akamanchou Emmanuel, representing the Fon of Bambui, underscored the importance of Dr. Dinga’s leadership.”The Mueh Fumbwen is a guiding figure. We are fortunate to have a leader who is also a teacher and a trainer,” Mr. Emmanuel remarked. “This gesture will inspire others to contribute, ensuring that the center is fully equipped and ready to serve when completed.”Amungwa Pascaline, National Vice President of the Bambui Women’s Association, confirmed that the equipment would be delivered directly to the village to benefit local girls.”These sewing machines and hairdressing kits are invaluable to our community,” Pascaline stated. “They will enable us to train our children in clothing design and entrepreneurship. We are committed to bringing these resources directly to Bambui to enhance our center for the betterment of our community.”The Empowerment Center aims to provide essential resources for the ongoing construction and foster financial independence through vocational training programs for young girls and underprivileged women in Bambui.
