In a proactive effort to ensure governance and ensure public safety, local authorities convened an administrative coordination meeting at the Douala V subdivision council.The two days meeting from 17- 18 December, Chaired by Governor Samuel Dieudonné Ivaha Diboa, was aimed at evaluating government actions over the past six months and set plans for the upcoming year. The regional coordination meeting is crucial for assessing government’s initiatives in the field and ensuring the effective execution of the budget. The meeting was also a moment of evaluation which allows for identifying successes and addressing shortcomings across various administrative sectors.During the session, officials reviewed the achievements of local administrations and highlighted the need for continued vigilance, particularly as the region approaches the festive season.

The governor of the Littoral region Samuel Dieudonné Ivaha Diboa pointed out that security measures must be prioritized to ensure that the population can celebrate without fear. “We must ensure our region is safe during the year-end festivities and into the New Year,” he stated.In addition to safety concerns, discussions also focused on enhancing political maturity among the population. Governor Ivaha Diboa highlighted the need to eradicate ignorance that leads to irresponsible behavior, urging all to engage and inform citizens about critical issues.The meeting also addressed the rising prices in local markets, indicating a need for stability to support residents during the festive period. “Our goal is to cultivate an environment where inhabitants can celebrate in security and peace,” the governor remarked.The regional coordination meeting reflects an ongoing commitment by local authorities to strengthen coordination and foster a harmonious environment as the New Year approaches.
