The government inclusive primary school complex Bali have been renovated and equipped with 25 New computers for the ICT laboratory and inclusive learning assistance materials. The event that took place at the school premises on November 26 2025 highlighted the importance of Inclusive education for children with special needs. The donation was made by Ecobank as they commemorated their 13th edition of Ecobank Day..The event marked a momentous occasion, not only celebrating Ecobank’s 40 years of impact across Africa but also focusing on the educational needs of vulnerable children.The Director of the government inclusive primary school complex Bali , Martial Mbebi, expressed gratitude for the partnership with Ecobank, which has committed to providing resources for the school, “We are thrilled to receive this donation of an IT lab equipped with 25 computers and assistive tools that will help our children thrive,” said the director.Mr. Benjamin Bidjo, the Regional Delegate for Basic Education, emphasized the role of technology in modern education, stating, “Digitalization is essential for improving access to education and ensuring that all learners succeed. This lab will provide teachers with the resources to implement innovative practices and support every pupil’s unique learning journey.

The Managing director of Ecobank Cameroon Gwendoline Abunaw expressed gratitude to the teachers and pupils who made the event happened . She said Ecobank Day is aim at enabling inclusive learning environments across its 34 operations in Africa,. While adding that the initiative supports children with different educational needs, including disabilities such as deafness, blindness, and autism. She noted the importance of ensuring that no child is left behind, particularly through recent advancements in education. Madam Abunaw emphasizes the role of technology in fostering inclusion, citing examples of pupils using text-to-speech and voice recognition tools to communicate ideas.For the Secretary General of the Littoral governor’s office Aboubakary Tchiounto, it was an innitiave worth emulating. He thank Ecobank for the donation and promised government continues support. He urged the school authorities to make good use of the equipment to ensure a conducive teaching and learning environment.The government inclusive primary school Bali created in1952, is one of the first public primary schools in Cameroon to embrace inclusive education policies. It now serves over 1,000 pupils with a significant portion receiving special educational support. The school has consistently achieved impressive academic results, boasting a 100% pass rate in official exams for over a decade.
