The ArtRise association is making a major power play to turn Cameroon’s economic capital Douala into a vibrant cultural and business epicenter during the 2026 African Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Morocco. The organization officially launched the “ArtRise VIP Experience” on Wednesday, October 22nd, in Douala, with a massive casting call and a press briefing that unveiled its ambitious plan.Meanwhile, from December 15, 2025, to January 20, 2026 ,the Sawa Land in Bonamoussadi in the Douala V subdivision, will host a fan zone open to all, complete with an Open Night Club. The “ArtRise VIP Experience” promises to be more than a simple viewing party; it’s designed to merge football, high-end entertainment, and art while creating a sustainable artistic ecosystem in Douala.”We didn’t just want to organize a few shows here and there,” explained comedian Tagne Kondom of the ArtRise association, who is co-organizing the event with Anita Keys. “We asked ourselves: what are we going to do for this African Cup of Nations? Our answer is a space that brings together VIPs, businesses, and anyone who really knows how to party.”The core tagline for the event is “lifestyle exclusivity,”aiming to create a premium experience where businesses and individuals can network in a festive, top-tier atmosphere. This focus is intended to transform the fan zone into a dynamic B2B platform for social and professional capital. The event’s commitment to quality was immediately evident with a casting call at the Krystal Palace that generated an impressive 1000+ applications.

The selection process is rigorous, with intensive training held on October 23rd covering VIP protocol, customer relations, and prospecting. The 120 hostesses chosen are not mere temporary staff; they will be compensated with an attractive package (fixed salary, bonuses, and incentives) to serve as true ArtRise ambassadors. These selected professionals will manage various segments of the event, from the food court to dedicated areas for children and teenagers.Nevertheless, the organizers emphasize that while the event is built on premium quality”It’s not VIP for nothing. Everything will be premium”the vision extends beyond commercial success.”This is beyond business but more cultural and more human,” the organizers stated, stressing the project’s goal to embrace diversity, nature, and community. The concept is rooted in the belief that “if you can dream it, you can make it work.” By offering high-quality food, a love for football, and a vibrant open-air club atmosphere, the ArtRise VIP Experience seeks to be the quintessential place in Douala for people to relax, have fun, and build their social capital.
