After a forty-day Lenten journey marked by daily worship of reflection, the Christians of the Presbyterian Church Bonamoussadi Douala joined other Christians around the world to celebrate the Risen Christ on Easter Sunday morning, 20 April. The service, which included thanksgiving, infant baptism and prophetic prayer, was filled with praise and worship. Easter was a time to celebrate the risen Christ. During the service, the parish pastor of PC Bonamoussadi and Presbytery Secretary of East Mungo South Presbytery, Rev. Kang Denis Tem, preached on the theme “If you build a strong and solid faith, you will always overcome”. Preaching from the book of Daniel 3:13-30, the man of God called on Christians to have strong faith and trust in God.

He added that the resurrection of Christ was God’s voluntary decision to change mankind from sinfulness to righteousness, which is a reminder for Christians to constantly change from bad to good and from better to best. He said the resurrection of Christ is not about dying and rising from physical death, or dying on Good Friday and rising on Sunday morning. It also means getting into real trouble and getting out of trouble. And how God will always appear to get His children out of trouble. He said the resurrection is the strongest element in the Christian faith and the reason why Christianity is still triumphant today. He also urged Christians to have faith like Shadrach, Meshach and Abegnego, who despite being tormented by the king, remained steadfast in worshipping the one and holy God.*Christians Celebrate the e Risen Christ
