They were able to put smile on the faces of the Orphan and physically challenged children.

It was all song and dance at the saint Arnile -Maria orphanage center in Bonadele Douala on May 1 as the Young African Women Congress –YAWC Network Cameroon led by the littoral chapter went along with some foodstuff to the orphan children. The visit that was also to encouraged the children saw the YAWC Network members discussing with the children on one to one bases so as to understand their specific needs.
The visit is part of YAWC Network’s mission to assist the vulnerable and underprivileged in the society. According to the YAWC Network littoral focal person Wirba Stephanie Kininla their benevolent gesture is in line with their activities. She said their visit was also to encouraged the children and to let them know that they have people who care and love them. She added that the foodstuff they brought is not enough for the children reasons why she urged people of good will to come to the aid of the children: She also took time off to present the different activities of the network. She announced that other projects have been envisaged to improve on the livelihood of the vulnerable. She also encourage the promoters of the orphanage to keep up the good work as brighter days are ahead.

Through songs and dance, the children appreciated the gesture and thanked YAWC Network Cameroon Chapter for coming to their aid.
The promoter of the center Mr Loh Sylvester thanked the members of the YAWC network Cameroon Chapter. He said the foodstuffs offered, will go a long way to assist in the daily feeding of the children. He equally used the opportunity to call on other benevolent associations to come to their aid.

Meanwhile the coordinator of the saint Arnile -Maria orphanage center in Bonadele, Loh Arnile Marie explained that the Centre has over 43 children with 3 who are physically challenged. She added that all the children are going to school and one of their major challenged is to pay the fees of the children. She disclosed that each year they struggle to raise at least three million to pay the fees of the children. She used the opportunity to call on other people of good will to come in and assist the children. The 17 year orphanage works in close collaboration with the ministry of Social Affairs for the wellbeing of the children

“We came here today to offer some love and affection to theses group of children who have been abandoned by their biological parents. We came in with Rice, Tablet soap and salt that can help ameliorate their feeding condition for some few days. We do not have much but what we have offered came from our hearts. I want to use this opportunity to call on people of good will to come to the assistance of this children. The promoter is doing a wonderful job. After going round the orphanage I am so impressed, they live here as a family I wish to thanked the promoters for the god job they are doing”
