Minister Emmanuel Nganou Djoumessi was in Douala on October 22 to evaluate the level of construction works.

Public works Emmanuel Nganou Djoumessi has instructed construction companies on the national road number 3 leading to the east entrance to Douala to complete and handover works by the 15 of December 2020 at the latest. The minister gave the instruction in Douala during a working visit in the littoral region on October 22. Phase two of the road work which started on the 7 of October 2020 currently on going and on the right footing. The work which also included the CHAN emergency works whose realisation rate this far stands at 15 %. It should be recalled that construction works on the road was suspended after the Covid 19 outbreak.
While in Douala, Minister Emmanuel Nganou Djoumessi made several stop over to see for himself what has been done and what is left be done so far. Technicians were readily available at each stop to give practical details to the minister. Minister Emmanuel Nganou Djoumessi inspected works at Nyalla-Dibamba, the main entrance into the Japoma Stadium, Carrefour ARI, and Carrefour Yassa. At the end of the visit, the minister had a working session during which he explained that the 55 km road (Length + Width ) will have six lanes completely tarred. He added that the road from Dibamba to Tradex village will ease traffic and boost economic activity in the region.

Minister Emmanuel Nganou Djoumessi urged the construction companies to redouble efforts and work day and night so as to deliver on the 15 of December 2020 at the latest.
Governor Samuel Dieudonne Ivaha Diboua expressed the joy of the population after the re -launching of construction work. He said so many people were sent on technical leave after the suspension of road works due to the corona virus outbreak. Meanwhile the Douala City Mayor Roger Mbassa Ndine decried the inconvenience caused by the construction works. He therefore joined his voice to call on the construction companies to hasten the works.
