A recent operation code name “Operation Bafut 2”  by the  Defence and security Forces of the 5th Joint Military Gendarmerie Region has led to the  recovery of some 28 locally fabricated pistols, car batteries, 11 side Arms,  canon fires, cables, barb wires, phones, gas canisters, a generator, cartridges marijuana amongst others. This operation came barely one month after the defence forces staged the“Operation Bafut1”were they registered more successes. In effect  “ Operation Bafut 2”  was carried out by the  elements  of BTAP, BRIM and 501 Air Force Base where they  spent a week in Bafut and  recovered some eight vehicles, trucks  and herds of  cows. They also rummage around villages of Achene, Akosia and  Nchum and  the neighbourhoods of Nforya Agyati etc.

” Operation Bafut 2″ was successful

 Against this backdrop, the Commander of the 5th Joint Military Region, Brigadier General Nka Valere has expressed satisfaction with the operation that also led to the destruction of more camps  of Separatist fighters and the recovery of Arms, ammunition and property. Brigadier General Nka Valere and Brigadier General Divine Ekongwesse went  reviewing  in Bafut on June 2nd 2020 during which they encouraged the population to stand  by the Defence and Security Forces for their security and protection.

  “Operation Bafut 2 which was led  by Col. Charles Matiang took in two daughters of a certain  ” General Dead man” who  are currently with the Social welfare services,  working to reunite them at their request with some family members in Douala.

Brigadier General Nka Valere, equally extended the  congratulations of the  Minister Delegate in charge of Defence to Defence and  Security Forces .
