 A press release signed by the National coordinator urged members nationwide to step up Campaign.

With the outbreak of the Covid 19  pandemic, the Cameroon Community Media Network-CCMN  has intensify campaigns to sensitize  the population on the disease and how to curb the spread of the disease . Some of  the measures put in place  is the production of radio and television  spots and news paper slogans that will be aired on different radio and television station around the country.  At the moment the different regional chapters are working on their production which will flood the different media organs latest April 2.

 In effect, the CCMN national coordinator madam Rosaline Akah Obah on Monday March 30 signed a press release calling on Peace Journalists nationwide to intensify the fight against the corona virus. The release stated that CCMN is embarking on a series of campaigns to raise awareness on the preventive measures issued by national and international bodies in a bit to stop the spread of  the COVID 19. The release indicated  that “in consonance with  all regional chapter coordinators, the following measures will go into effect by all CCMN members to limit, if not , stop the spread of the Covid 19 pandemic in their  respective communities. The measures include: Produce and broadcast radio and TV spots on the pandemic to raise awareness on the different preventive measures. Carry out social media campaigns on the different preventive measures and raise discussions of peace and hope to change the narratives. Counter myth, fake news, disinformation surrounding the covid 19 pandemic. Producer short films, and contents that can further educate and sensitized the community on the severity of the Covid 19 pandemic”.

The release further calls on CCMN members to take part in the exercise so as to promote the objective of that network which is that of building a peaceful society through community action.
