The book fair that will run from January 27- February 3 will have all book types sold at CFA 2500 each.

Promoting the culture of reading amongst the people of the littoral region is the main aim of a one week book fair that is expected to run from the 27of January to February 3, 2020 at the Park des Prince ceremonial ground in Bali.  Amongst the 80 thousand books, 15 thousand is destined   for primary school children. In prelude to the opening of the book exposition, the president of the L’association Écoles sous l’arbre Humanitaire France, Charles Aurélien Ntolla revealed that the books will be sold at CFA 2500 each no matter the category. He added that his association that is the main organizer of the event is out to ease accessibility of books to both the young and old and to people of all walks of life. 
 
 In his words “we want to instill the culture of reading especially in children reasons why some books will be offered to some schools free of charge”. He said the humanitarian book fair is in its 13th edition and has registered huge successes throughout. He added that so far, they have distributed books in seven out of the ten regions in Cameroon and hope to cover the three Northern regions in 2020.

 Charles Aurélien Ntolla sounded off that, L’association Écoles sous l’arbre Humanitaire France, “aims to be like what schools under the tree were in African countries at the time of decolonization, where children and adults learned to read at the foot of the tree. A place of learning and exchange, a time when everyone is committed with their values ​​and hopes for their personal construction and that of their country”. Created in April 2004, It is worth mentioning that the association is present in six different Countries in Africa Including, Cameroon, Niger, Mali, Central African Republic, Congo and Burkina Faso.
